Arriving in Capri is already half the fun. You glide in by ferry or hydrofoil, the sea glinting impossibly blue, cliffs rising like a movie set. Then the island appears — all whitewashed walls, pastel shutters, and bougainvillea spilling over terraces. Capri doesn’t need to prove anything; it just is.
When I arrived at Tiberio Palace, I excitedly noticed its bold design, effortless luxury, and the kind of location that says “you’re on island time now.”
If you’re wondering how long to stay, this is my rule of thumb: stay 4 nights. That gives you just enough time to settle in,explore the island, soak up the villa-vibe, then relax into the rhythm of Capri. One night? You’ll leave wanting more. Two nights? You’ll feel rushed. Three? You’re good — but four nights is where you hit stride.

Getting There (and What to Expect)
Getting here made easy
You’ll arrive by ferry or hydrofoil or a private boat, and once docked, the island starts showing off immediately. Drivers and porters take over your luggage (and they mean it — hands off), because cars aren’t allowed in the center. You’ll meet your bags again at the hotel a bit later. First you’ll need to get up to Capri town from the marina, either by car or with the funicular. Once you reach the city center, a short walk leads you to the property. The stroll is about five to ten minutes — uphill but pleasant, winding past boutiques, gelato stops, and lemon trees. The only time you might question your life choices is if you do it in the midday sun with no shade. Lesson learned.
When you check out, the process reverses — your luggage needs to be ready two hours before your ferry. It sounds fussy, but once you see how organized the porters are, you’ll appreciate the precision.

The Look, the Feel, the Personality
Color, character and whimsy
Tiberio Palace is the opposite of minimalist — and that’s what makes it wonderful. Walking through the lobby feels like stepping into a story told through decades of travel. The walls are lined with celebrity photos, sculptures from Africa, vintage furniture, and patterns that shouldn’t go together but somehow do.
Each room has its own mood. Mine was bright, layered, and playful, with colors that somehow managed to be bold and restful. You can tell someone had fun designing these spaces — it’s eclectic in the best possible way. Like a well-traveled friend decorated using treasures they picked up around the world, yet somehow every piece belongs.
The connecting rooms are so cleverly designed you’d never guess they connect. I actually had to ask where the door was — it blended right into the wall paneling. Thoughtful details like that really matter when you’re traveling with family or friends but still want your own space.
And then there’s the scent. I noticed it the moment I walked in — bright, citrusy, a little woodsy — the kind of fragrance that instantly calms you down. By day two, I was at the boutique buying a diffuser to bring it home.

Life at the Hotel
The art of effortless relaxation
The pool might not be massive, but I loved how it’s designed — half covered, half open, perfect for light swimming or chatting with a spritz in hand. The spa is small but pleasant, and after long hikes or shopping marathons, it’s exactly what you need.
Breakfast was something I looked forward to every morning — an impressive spread of fresh pastries, fruit, and espresso that could power an entire island. The bar makes excellent spritzes (emphasis on strong), and since Capri is an island where cocktails are practically a lifestyle, this detail deserves applause.
It’s also those little touches that stand out — the oversized shampoo and conditioner bottles (why don’t more hotels do this?) and how, by the second morning, the staff already greeted me by name. There aren’t many of them, which makes the service feel even more personal.

Why the Location Works
Close to everything you want
The hotel sits just a short walk from Capri’s main square — close enough to reach everything easily, but far enough to feel peaceful when you return. Evenings were my favorite: a slow stroll to La Campannina Ristorante — which, if you know, you know. It’s one of the best restaurants on the island, and conveniently, just steps away.
From the hotel you can start a few beautiful hikes — the kind that make you stop every few minutes to admire the sea. And back in the room, I’d open the balcony doors, sit with a glass of wine, and just watch the light fade over the water. Capri does that to you — it makes you want to slowdown.

Who It’s Perfect For
For travelers who value character
Couples, families, and even solo travelers who appreciate character over perfection.
People who like color and conversation, not sterile design.
Those who want to be near the best of Capri — shops, restaurants, and views —but also value a quiet night’s sleep.
If you like properties that feel personal and have a story to tell, this one delivers.

My Final Thoughts
Design, warmth, and lasting impressions
Capri Tiberio Palace isn’t about luxury that shouts. It’s about details that make you smile — the scent, the smiles from staff who remember your order, the way the spaces feel collected, not staged.
After my stay there, I left rested, well-fed, and slightly in love with everything about the place — from its mosaic floors to that walk uphill that now feels nostalgic.
So if Capri’s calling, this is where I’d send you to answer — where design meets warmth, and island life feels as effortless as it looks.
