For a family or anyone prioritizing space, I would choose Royal Princess. For a couple or traveler prioritizing contemporary style, rooftop views and sunset atmosphere, I would choose Royal Blue. Because the hotels share the wider Royal resort, the decision is primarily about your room and the building you want to return to.

Choose Princess for Space
Princess is all-suite and its Spring 2026 refresh makes it especially relevant for U.S. families. Our one-bedroom, two-bath suite with a separate living room gave four people much more breathing room than a conventional European hotel room.

Choose Blue for Atmosphere
Royal Blue opened in 2017 and has the resort’s most recognizable lifestyle feature: the adults-only rooftop infinity pool and Blue Sky Lounge. For couples, sunset drinks and a more contemporary room experience may outweigh the extra square footage at Princess.

You Still Share the Resort
Staying at Princess did not prevent us from spending time near Blue. We used the pool near Vista and could move throughout the complex without feeling like outsiders. The exchange privileges are the resort’s secret weapon.

Small Details Matter
Blue had Illy espresso machines in rooms I saw; our Princess suite had instant coffee and a kettle. Princess, on the other hand, gave us the suite configuration and two bathrooms that mattered far more for a family of four.

My Booking Rule
Family with younger children: Princess. Family needing substantial space: Princess. Couple or honeymoon: Blue. Friends who want rooftop atmosphere: Blue. For other travelers, compare Palm, Ariston and Neptun based on room category, location and price.

Is Royal Blue adults-only?
The adults-only part we know of is the rooftop infinity pool and Blue Sky Lounge.
Can Royal Princess guests use the rest of the resort?
Yes. Staying at Princess, we used the pool near Vista and moved through the complex freely. If a specific area matters to you, such as the rooftop pool, we confirm access when booking.
Which should a family book?
Royal Princess. The suite layout and two bathrooms mattered more to us than any design detail.
