Curtain Bluff distinguishes itself from modern mega-resorts by offering a refined, "Country Club" style all-inclusive experience where everything from scuba diving to deep-sea fishing is included in the rate. Located on a dramatic bluff between two distinct bodies of water, it offers families the best of both worlds: a calm "Bay Beach" perfect for swimming and watersports, and a breezy "Surf Beach" ideal for boogie boarding. Its enduring appeal lies in its staff longevity and "house party" atmosphere, making it the ultimate choice for families seeking connection and sport over waterslides and mascots.
Here's why I keep sending my favorite clients back to Curtain Bluff:
• It Just Feels Special: From the moment you arrive, you're transported to a world of understated luxury. Think lush gardens, stunning ocean views, and staff who treat you like family (the kind of family that brings you cocktails on the beach!).
• Something for Everyone (Seriously!): Want to stay active? They've got tennis, pickleball, watersports, you name it. Prefer to relax? Grab a lounger by the adults-only pool or on the beach, and let the stress melt away.
• Foodie Heaven: Okay, get ready for some seriously good food. Their all-inclusive package covers everything from casual lunches to elegant dinners. And the wine list? Impressive! They even have their own wine cellar, which is pretty unique in Antigua.
• Family-Friendly, But Still Chic: Curtain Bluff is great for families, with a fun kids' club to keep the little ones entertained. But don't worry, it never feels overrun with kids. It's still super elegant and perfect for a romantic getaway too
What Makes Curtain Bluff Stand Out?
• Award-Winning Luxury: It's the only resort in Antigua that's part of the fancy Relais & Châteaux group, which means they're all about top-notch food, incredible service, and creating a truly special experience.
• Double the Beaches, Double the Fun: You get two amazing beaches to choose from – one that's calm and perfect for swimming, and another with stunning views and a refreshing breeze.
• People Can't Get Enough: Seriously, over half of their guests are repeat visitors! Once you experience Curtain Bluff, you'll understand why.
Just a Couple of Things to Keep in Mind:
• Closed for a Bit in the Fall: They close for a few months each year (late July to late October) for renovations, so make sure you plan your trip around that.
• Pick Your Beach: One of the beaches can be a bit rough for swimming, so if that's your thing, stick to the calmer side.
