I take my family on vacation to an all-inclusive resort each year, and the Dominican Republic is probably the one Caribbean destination we have visited the most. With direct flights from Chicago, it is a convenient choice with two small kids, gorgeous weather, white sand beaches, and a multitude of all-inclusive resorts. This time, we decided to explore Lopesan Costa Bavaro Casino & Spa.

As part of a select Luxury Travel Advisor group hosted by TravelPulse and the Dominican Republic’s Tourism Board, I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at the highly sought-after Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. Now, I have heard a lot about this property prior to my arrival, both from industry colleagues, suppliers, and some clients, so you could say I had a pre-conceived idea about it prior to my arrival. This review is my account of the personal experiences I had and a direct comparison of what I’ve thought vs what I’ve learned about this resort.

Just 15 miles off the coast of S. America lies the small island of Aruba. Best known for its white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, Aruba has been consistently earning its place on the Best Beaches of the World lists. With direct flights from many US gateways, this destination attracts a high amount of return visitors each year. This year I wanted to experience it for myself, and I took my husband and two small daughters on a family vacation to Riu Palace Aruba.

Surrounded by mountains, some of them so big, that we easily confused them with clouds - every site was majestic.
